Re: Super Nintardbros!

On the rare occasions I think I’ll finally get round to playing Mario Odyssey, oh... Nathan’s taken it off in his Switch case. :problem: That’s my main reason tbh. This is all an interesting thought experiment about something I’ll never be arsed to do. You’re right about physical romance. Wish my he...

Re: Super Nintardbros!

I agree. Retail games are usually much cheaper on physical and Indies are MUCH cheaper through the eshop. Money talks. The value of convenience vs nicety-of-physical shifts on the Switch though. Switch boxes are cute little cases of meh. Most of my collection are first party value holders so all thi...

Re: Super Nintardbros!

By reversing the primary account holder between two Switches, two people can share a downloaded game library while always logged in their own accounts. They need a Wi-fi connection or personal hotspot for a second at game launch. I have this set up with my son and according to the internet, both use...

Re: Super Nintardbros!

Looks like the most promising Bubble Bobble redo so far. They've messed with the characters less than in past cringemakes, but why mess with them at all? Those feet. :eh:

I keep wondering if I’ll ever pick BOTW back up. If I do I might as well restart. I don’t think I ever got out of The Great ****.

I’ve finally been playing Doom 2016. Everything about it is class.

Re: hitbox controllers

If they’re playing a PS4 game it’s a no brainier that PS4 pads are standard.

But this is Street Fighter! Arcade sticks for crying out loud.

And there’s the problem.

At the end of the day, they’re playing a game, with bugs. It’s never going to be perfect.

Re: hitbox controllers

What are standard arcade controls? What type of stick? Is any brand allowed? What restrictor gate? Etc etc.

And they play on consoles btw. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: hitbox controllers

Well competition just takes the fun out of anything I guess. I prefer using only six buttons and sometimes **** up the 3P or 3K because that’s the whole point and it’s more fun that way. It’s interesting to watch but taking esports seriously is always going to be a **** mess. But the case for access...

Re: hitbox controllers

Everyone and their mother is going crazy over it because Daigo started using one and wants to copy monkey him. Even though it has been around for several years. The same people probably ask him when to poop and where. I don’t keep track of this stuff but could it be a case where he feels forced to ...

Re: hitbox controllers

Yeah I knew sf2 was lenient but didn't realise it was as lenient as sfv. Yeah, it’s not. The series has got progressively lenient, but the difference in lenience between SF1 (having to do the move precisely) and SF2 (allowing many types of **** up) was pretty big. Anyway, my point is just that this...

Re: hitbox controllers

SF2 was *near enough* the same. We just didn’t know about it until training modes.

Everyone hates trying to play SF1 because there’s none of that lenience (and also because it’s a bit poo).

It was lax special move inputs that accidentally invented combos. ...Well, the move cancelling bit.
