Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

I have no clue how to remedy the issue :wtf: Would be interesting to see if there is a pattern tho, compiling a list of board revision and PAL type is a start? I installed one for a friend on a rev 4 board, will ask if he has the audio crackle. tbh I hadn't even noticed the audio 'problem', it's not...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

OK I just tried this out, I have two kits on hand. One has the audio crackling & popping, the other doesn't. I tried swapping over the A board and the proved that it was NOT the fault. I'm running the boards through a 'Last Bandit' supergun via RCA breakout to a hifi system, during testing system 5V...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

RE reset firmware - great! How about chipping in for ONE programmer and posting it around if there's enough people who would like to upgrade the firmware themselves? I don't really fancy shelling out for a programmer to use it once, or pay for international postage twice. Still - nice one for adding...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

I bought 2 kits, the first one I installed in a revision 7 B board and it's working perfectly. I just got done installing the second kit in a revision 4 board, wire added to bottom of board from pin 9 of the pal to pin c13 on the connector and installed a G pal. Unfortunately I had messed up sound,...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

Per a post in the old thread, I went ahead and ordered one of these micro SD card extension cables off ebay ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/261894745478?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ) so that the card can be easily removed without having to open up the case each time. I'll r...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

I'm not sure anyone has started looking at the SPF sound issue. Guess first thing would be to find out what is causing it. I was questioning my B-board (rev 7) PAL (G) jumpers (MvC factory default matching SOOS SO OSOSOS SOSOSOSO SOSOSOSO) contact with the kit boards, basically everything... Two ot...

Hello all,
I'm in London, I don't have cabs anymore but managed to keep hold of some PCBs & consoles ;)
Registered here for more info on upcoming multicarts, fingers crossed for a MVS one in the near future :)
