Re: New Multiboard RaspberryJAMMA

What makes you think just because it's a digital to analog converter it has no lag??? It has to process the signal and would need to frame buffer AT LEAST 1 frame, this looks like some cheap Chinese one so I don't think it'd be that fast. It looks like some off the shelf part tacked on to the board ...

Re: New Multiboard RaspberryJAMMA

Sounded great when I first saw this, then I noticed it's transcoding the HDMI to analog which probably means lots of lag. So emulator lag + HDMI -> Analog lag and on top of that it's probably not outputting the correct refresh rate as the game so you even get screen tearing I bet. For $230 AUS, PASS.

Re: Avalaunch rom bug reporting

Awesome, thanks Oliveira. I fixed both the J and U version doing what you said, just tested and plays correctly now. Here is a link to the fixed files, hopefully someone can put them on a better hosting service because I have no idea what is good. http://www.filedropper.com/megaman2fixed EDIT: For a...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

so i took the whole kit apart again, and put it back together, again, everything is snug fitting well, I reformatted my sd card, downloaded the roms again, turned it on, and still get the same result, thought it was the b board so i put the msh v sf eproms back in, and it goes fine, I've tried mult...

Avalaunch rom bug reporting

Oliveria asked me to take any screenshots of any of his games if they crashed so I figured why not have a seperate thread for any problems that occur with any rom rather than clutter up the Darksoft CPS-2 Multi thread when people are having issues with installation. Game: Megaman the Power Battle 2 ...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Did the auto reset switch wire, works great. I added Shadow of Mystara but it's not using the Name file for some reason. EDIT: It's giving operation failed when I try to flash any of the Shadow of Mystara roms (everything else works great). EDIT 2: I had to format the entire card and copy over every...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Got it working, I had to really press down on the boards and press up on the bottom of the daughter board while pushing the bridge pcb adaptor down and then seat the whole thing. This thing is extremely finnicky and I think most of the problem is the adaptor board that bridges the 2 PCB's, it doesn'...

The LCD says: 'Now Playing: Mars Matrix' I've tried several of the games from the pack in the 1st post, all give the same result. http://i.imgur.com/VmFemGGl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hxsK6S9l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/19doEnHl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3yRj6PYl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VTD2pOVl.jpg

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Just installed the kit but I'm getting a Purple screen whenever I try to install any game. I triple checked all of the pins and they all look good, nothing is bent and everything appears to be making contact. My CPS-2 B board is a revision 7 and I'm using a USA A board. Is this the correct MD-5 for ...

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No Killing B-Boards!)

Ok got it, my board is ready.

What firmware do I have if my board shipped out: June 11, 2015? Also I don't see anything about the auto reset mod, but I recall reading it somewhere, is it possible now ? Thanks.

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

Ah, my number fell within 1st batch and I assumed they were going out with the 2nd which is why I asked. When is the rest of the 1st going out then or is it indeed going out with the 2nd? Thanks!

Re: Darksoft's CPS2 Multikit Tech Support Thread (No F'ing Drama)

Are those all the roms you will need or do you still need to provide the graphics and sound files as well? I ask because the naming convention seems slightly different from mame. The avalaunch set above has all files needed for the games. Remember that the files need to be formatted for use with th...

Thanks I did do a search before hand, I always try to! I did not see that thread when searching or 'Candy Cabinet stools'. I'll work on my search skills! Unfortunately like other similar threads most of the Ikea stuff is no longer sold from them =/. Also thanks that thread is helpful because somethi...

Candy Cabinet Stools?

Anyone know of a good source for these or anything that works in the US? I don't need official Taito stools or anything (of course I wouldn't mind if the price is right) like that but looking to get four stools for my two cabinets. Unsure what would work, I mean I'd take anything from Ikea if it's t...
