Re: jnx adaptor pandora box

Default JAMMA has ground wires on 27 and 28 on the JAMMA harness, however most boards dont even care about pin 27 not having a ground (i.e. all my CPS1, CPS2, Konami boards dont care about pin 27 not being 'Ground'). As you know, Pandora uses pin 27 top and bottom for Button 6 for player 1 and playe...

Re: I have to pick, Astro or Blast City?

My decision would be solely based on repair resources and part availability in your location Where i am,the crt repairer i use is rightfully hesitant to work on tri res chassis from the blast (apparently can be time consuming , difficult - some even ooze out goo onto many components) , but will happ...

Re: Buying EEPROMs for board repairs

Segasonic - probably just need to get the post count up id say Noaffinity - great link! Yeah I agree, PCB repairs can get real complicated real fast haha. I was fortunate my amp chip had blown out with a crack in it, so was an obvious repair :) I have a champion edition board as well. At one point i...

Re: Buying EEPROMs for board repairs

hey @segasonic91 I noticed you were in the Gold Coast. It's worth joining AussieArcade if you haven't already. If you're ever in need of anything local without the extra postage, you could always post in the wanted area there to see if anyone has what you need locally. A couple of weeks ago I sold a...

Re: Repairing crack in New Astro City and/or What is it made of?

Hey sorry for the delayed response. Ill get a picture when im at home. Regarding the colour - was matched at the time (custom mixed, not off the shelf) with automotive paint. Unfortunately couldnt recall the code for at least the base used. The repair was done with fibreglass + resin on both front a...

Re: Repairing crack in New Astro City and/or What is it made of?

hey @zumbito My father in law fixed mine with using fibreglass (which involves using resin) about a year ago. Im not 100% certain on every detail of the process, maybe youtube tutorials can help? I do remember him reinforcing the behind side. Damn, that looks amazing! What did he do to cover the cr...

Re: Noob needs help troubleshooting Astro City

Id personally keep the Nanao chassis and have it repaired/serviced. Unfortunately im not sure who services them where you live. Im spoilt in that i live down under and have access to Jomac. The nanao+toshiba original combo are picture perfect and will retain the value of your cabinet in my opinion. ...

Re: Blast City VGA + Pandoras Box 4

Controls are all working perfectly (i.e. ground on conventional JAMMA harness = 27+28+e+f, whereas on pandora ground is only 28+f, and 27+e = button 6 for both players). This isn't a concern, this is all 100% functional and wired correctly. I will see if I can grab an LCD with VGA though - not a bad...

Re: Blast City VGA + Pandoras Box 4

Hi. Could you kindly clarify this response a bit further: "check the grounds of the pandora jamma edge matches that of the blast" As above, display works perfectly via 15k (which is JAMMA fed video signal). I dont believe ground wiring on the JAMMA harness, would cause any form of VGA fault, being t...

Re: Astro 2 user manual

Hi thanks for that. Already tried @richy13 .. Was after the manual to print out and keep with the cab, so wasnt after a "new astro city" one (already have a copy of that, and the parts list is different for the top speaker area etc). Thanks anyway
