Re: RS New Delta

Its upscaled 15khz, which means it isn't that great actually, and is not compatible with all PCBs.

These cabs are really only best for HD fighters and Xbox 360 HD shmups. :)

If problem happens again, try pressing down on the two surface mount cpu's. That was my problem, they needed to be re-flowed after bad shipping/packaging.

Oh, I thought this was common knowledge. I hacked my DOJ to save highscores. Not too difficult really, you just need to find the right hardware to perform the mod. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-kQ-bKkzMyUo/TjMAEUmjzEI/AAAAAAAAA-E/p152uaoYV5U/s400/DDPDOJ_Highscore_Kit.JPG I haven't had a chance ...

Re: ROM Programmer & Eraser Recommendations

I have used the gq3x from mcumall for some years and was happy with it UNTIL they decided my rev 1.0 of the hardware was not supported by their latest software, and they refused to provide me with older software. I had the option to send it in to them for an upgrade - but went with the VP-280 inste...

Re: Original Astro City cash box locking tongue

I've been able to order astro tangs (tounges?) from sophia/tops, so just email them for a quote. If you give them the part number, they can request them new/direct from Sega.

I've only played on one E29, and it was missing the above speaker pod, so not sure. The actual speaker cones are still quite small in the E29.

Re: Suitable JVS i/o board for a Type X2?

The Sega JVS adapter linked above is what I use on my Type X2, and doesn't require external power. It works off the JVS cable, which btw is NOT USB, so if you are thinking this will plug into a PC USB port you will be sadly mistaken. ? How are you running it with out a +5 line? Or am I miss underst...

I had to rewire the connector pins on my Exceleena Blue cab as well, but thought it was because I put in some cheap Chinese sticks that had a different pinout. Now I know why. Its not a big deal if you have one of those small eyeglass screwdrivers.

I have no idea if its bad or not leaving that residue behind, but you could get a can of compressed air and blow it out (like ones used for cleaning keyboards).
