Re: Brokon: CPS1 Three Wonders.
most likely, the battery on the top of the C board is dead, so the does the game. You can check its voltage by using a multimeter. Anyway, you will have to get it "desuicided". ie the battery removed, a "suicide fix mod" and some eproms reburned with the proper version of the program roms. I agree ...

Re: SF2 HF CPS1 Jamma missing certain sound effects
Since you're missing only some of the sound effects I would say that unlabelled eprom is the likely cause. There might be some corruption due to exposure to direct sun light. Roms 18 and 19 contain the sound effects. 19 is the unlabelled one. Get someone to verify this rom against the same from the ...

Re: cps2 volume resets when powered off for a while
Finally found a fix for this. Something I noticed on an older a-board. The green wire as pictured below will fix the issue.
Lift pin 14 of the 74HC04A from the PCB and solder a wire from the lifted leg to D3.

Re: cps2 volume resets when powered off for a while
Checked everything again. Guess the CMOS memory in the TC9185P is just broken... Anyone got a spare perhaps?

Re: cps2 volume resets when powered off for a while
Hi idc, thanks, have cleaned the whole board already but will give those Toshiba ICs another thorough clean. Had also replaced the super cap. The 1st Toshiba IC(don't know the part from the top of my head) does get power from the super cap.

Re: cps2 volume resets when powered off for a while
Hey Asure
yea tried factory reset as well. Other settings don't get reset, just the volume. Very weird. Unfortunately I do not have another game to check this asia a-board.

Re: cps2 volume resets when powered off for a while
Bump, I also have the same issue. Did anyone find a fix?
Have tried the volume reset by holding down the button and even replaced the super cap on the a-board.
