Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

For an original and working IREM M52 Tropical Angel, I found no previous sale. (Except a reference to a sale on ebay but for an untested PCB : https://picclick.com/Irem-Tropical-Angel-Pcb-RARE-153165649029.html ) Anybody saw a sale for a working game ? (maybe in a different language). Or an estimati...

Re: Gamshara PCB Interlaced only?

Just checked it, I saw nothing in the test menu to switch display mode.
Other Namco System 10 have the option to switch between mode in the menu.

Re: Konami's PCB identification - Need help.

Looks like there's a Konami jackpot machine named "Dawn Patrol" but I found no info.

Not a lot of hit for GGAT2 anyway .

Good luck :)

Re: Best thing to lay PBCs on when playing them?

When using it, vertical on PCB feets, with nothing else in contact is probably the safest.
(electricity, weight and heat).

In storage, "anti-static" is not "static shielding", so you still need to be carefull with your PCBs in those pink bags.

Re: Dead Flying Shark

Back to this Flying Shark PCB today.

Was testing on the 2148 RAMs side.
At one point, I saw the problem disappear when pressing.
Resolder the 2148 RAMs solved the sprite problem.

Will try to send you some pics next week (if still needed).

For STV system, bootleg are mostly Cotton games and RSG.
Ratio bootleg/original for Cotton Boomerang is just unbelievable  .

Re: Dead Flying Shark

Will check several Fujitsu 74LS240 later (one of them has already been changed and they are all Motorola on my perfectly working Hishouzame). The 74LS240 are used for inputs (common design on Toaplan hardware) so it's useless to test them. Yes, I thought one of them was not near the Jamma edge but ...

Re: Dead Flying Shark

No Fujitsu 74LS08 on this Flying Shark (Intel if I remember) . I checked the Fujitsu 74S04, 74S08 and 74S20 but they seems OK. I don't think I can easily diagnose the 2148 RAMs. Will check several Fujitsu 74LS240 later (one of them has already been changed and they are all Motorola on my perfectly w...

A quick check show me the 4 I/O of the 2 lowest 2148 RAMs stuck low.
Will investigate further tomorrow, thanks Fabrizio :)
