Re: Why buy a board when you can mame??

my vision of it : Boards : switch on --> play ---> loose ---> retry --> enjoy to get better and finally 1cc the game. Mame: Switch on --> wait ----> (try to) select a game ---> play ---> loose ----> (try to) select another game ---> loose ---> (try to) select another game ---> switch off. It's easy...

Re: mame pc to blast city speakers?

I am no expert, but just today I got a 001 loom and it has 2 RCA plugs. With the proper cable, you could possibly use a 3.5mm jack from your PC to the RCA connectors on the 001 loom. Maybe this would be the easiest way :) This is the easiest way. Source yourself a 001 loom, buddy. Never a good idea...

I'm running the following: Intel G3258 3.2ghz OC'd to 4.5GHz Asus H97 mATX motherboard 4GB Memory 120 SSD Radeon 4550 GPU (Radeon 43XX would work fine too) Windows 7 x64 I can run everything you would possibly want to run in MAME at 100% speed, even Cave games. Re: GroovyMAME x Real hardware

Here's another example - Metal Slug 2. Even the known slow down in the game is emulated brilliantly. This is an experimental version of GroovyMAME running with ASIO support. Audio is running simultaneously on the neo (mono) and groovymame pc (stereo). https://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeprop...

Re: GroovyMAME/UME for dummies

my vert cab currently has a c2d 8400 4gb running xp 64 overlocked to 3.6ghz - how much of an improvement do you think i would see with a i5 4670k 8gb ram overlocked to 4.2ghz? Worth the cash or would it not make a massive difference as mame doesn't do much with multi-cores anyway i believe... The C...

Yup, GroovyMAME with CRT_EMU_Driver (latest build)

Same issue occurs on actual hardware as well. I don't have the Two Crude Dudes PCB on hand, but it was very bad with that game during a flashing explosion scene.

Nanao MS9-29 "Bloom" Brightness fluctuation - IN HD 60FPS

I wanted to show everyone an example of the "bloom" brightness fluctuation issue on my Nanao MS9-29S. I have included two video examples in Youtube's new 60FPS HD setting. The issue can be quite violent at times during quick flashes between light and dark screens in a game. Watch in 720p60 4zSqKuVBu...
