Re: Locating stuff on Yahoo Auctions Japan

Thanks, I have bought those from LV in the past, I can also make it myself, but I'm looking for an original Sanwa/Seimitsu one, I have tons of boards that use extra buttons and with the color scheme of the OG. harness I find it easier to follow when I need to switch pins on the AMP plug.

Re: Locating stuff on Yahoo Auctions Japan

Thanks, but I'm looking for the harness that plugs directly to the buttons with quick disconects which comes from under the cp AMP 12pin conector.

Re: Two MS9's kickin the bucket in a month...

Faulty zenner diodes on the neckboard on both chassis, on the first one the screen adjustment is either too high, or no video signal.

Re: Best version of Pandoras box

6 is the best as it has a Quad Core CPU, it can run Mortal Combats, Nba Jam and Rampage WT, you can't do that on previous versions, but overall they are a screen tearing fest.

Re: Tosh A68KJU96X Nanao MS8 -> MS9 swap

I've got an ms9 chassis on an ms8 tube and it works fine (as above) but the image is quite narrow. CPS3 for example will not fit the screen. Wider games like CPS2 are fine. I'm not sure about this, I swapped the the h.s pin to the wide position then adjusted the "h.size limit" pot a bit and all of ...

Re: Crude Buster / Data East Region ?

It's also the best beat 'em up of all time. Not sure about that, the game suffers from random changing priorities on the hit/hurt boxes for both the main characters and enemy attacks depending on the stage and difficulty settings, it seems that it has some sort of ranking system, the Md version see...

Re: NANAO MS8-25 CAP LIST and MAP

You have a different chassis, or another variant of the MS8-25FA/FTB, none of my chassis have that type of video board, hence no C266 cap, sorry.

Re: Correct measure for 30mm buttons holes

Just measure the diameter of the button plunger, do not drill holes of the same size of the outer rim of the button, do you have a button to compare do you? if your tool says 29.5 then thats what you need, its easier to widen the holes than trying to fill them if you f**k it up.

Re: MVS MV1-A vertical lines

Thanks Leonardo!!!, with that info I think I've found the problem, 2 severed traces: FIXD6 and FIXD7 from NEO-GRC, I followed both and they go underneahth the PCB to pins B6 and B7 from the cart SLOT. Now, onto the most difficult part which will be to find a very thin wire to bridge these points... ...

MVS MV1-A vertical lines

I have this MV1- "A"? motherboard which recently has developed this issue where some vertical lines are missing from the image, it only appears on texts and certain ingame graphics, I have checked the cartridge slot for cold solder joints but that doesn't seem to be problem here as the issue is pres...

Re: Ms9 died after installing a cap kit

Cap installed backwards, wrong spec caps since you're using a kit, bad solder joint, solder bridge, etc. There's quite a lot that could've went wrong, your best bet is going to be to go back over your work carefully and verify capacitor location, values, and polarity. I checked and double checked t...
