Re: exA-Arcadia

Hopefully the prices were all place holders as well, but I don't think they are.

Re: exA-Arcadia

£2000 was the top end of my budget, at nearly £3000 I won't be buying in. Cool to see this happening though.

Re: Step-down for cab

I use 1000w Airlink step downs for each pair of my cabs. I think the Astro is only rated at 140 or 160W so 300 should be fine. It has the rating on a sticker on the rear of the cab, so check it to be sure.

Bah! the cheating scumbag! :problem:

Is this the case in most fighting games?
It'd be interesting to see a breakdown like this on KoF 11 against Magaki. I've never been able to beat the f***er.

Re: exA-Arcadia

I know the UK doesn’t account for all of Europe, but I reckon the number of Arcades here that would be interested in purchasing this is in single digits. Possibly only Andy at Arcade Club. I can see why Europe is not a priority if this is repeated across the continent.

Looks like a converted cab from a kiddy game.

Re: Astro and Blast City Cabinets how much from within the UK?

Generally speaking, an Astro is £500 (knackered) to £900 (very nice), Blast about £600-£1000 depending on condition.

Interesting they said they changed the flyback, I was under the impression these were long out of production and only ever available to certain repairers.

Sega made the coin box keys different to the rest. It could be one of hundreds of their lockbox keys.

Re: exA-Arcadia

Akai Katana Shin Black Label for exA-Arcadia, calling it now. That would be a huge bummer. They've made enough versions of Akai Katana already. Hope it's something more exciting. If that's a starting point for new CAVE releases, I'm ok with that. Besides AK is awesome ;) Must admit, it took a while...

There’s a 9000+ post thread on Sega-16 about it all if you have a quiet afternoon and want to see the drama unfold. My favourite bit is the launch party they had.

Re: exA-Arcadia

I'm presuming the a&b is the premium launch title and the steamers :shifty: will have varying entry points . A $1000+ bucks for some of them seems a tab much. Since they are being inspired by the Mvs in a way they need to factor that and not what Cave boards were sold for ! Yeah $1800 for mainboard...

How much are operators expected to pay for these games? :eh:

Slam and Jam looks like a **** version of NBA Jam, which a real PCB can be had for under £200....
