Re: SuperGun Suggestion for Konami GX Run and Gun 2...

Can anyone recommend a supergun that would work well with a Konami GX mainboard? Is there anything specific I should be looking for? I want a Supergun because it seems to include everything all in one, so all I have to do is plug the JAMMA cable into the Konami GX main board, but please correct me ...

Re: Boot or Original : Post original/bootleg PCB photos here.

Btw, your mobo seems to be an A board Dash. I'm new to this hobby. I have no idea what that means. That means the first and huger board at the bottom (mother board, called A-board), with a Jamma connector, is a newer revision coming with Street Fighter II and later CPS-1 games. The Xtal (cry...

Indeed, with a key, this would never happen. Btw, you would have to remove it when you play a bootleg game or use an adapter to Jamma.

Re: Sengoku Ace PCB not working...

Is there a Test mode to view RAM and ROM checks ?

5V voltage should be between 4,80V and 5,15V.
Under 4,80V some TTL dislike that and die. More than 5,15V could be risky but I already tested a few boards at more than 5,25V and they are still working.

Re: Metamorphic Force Black Screen

1/ Check your 5V voltage, it should be between 4,80V and 5,15V.

2/ Dump the main program eprom with the sticker removed if you can.

If all above is OK it looks like RAM issue.

Re: Vewlix Questions

In fact, only the main control panel is removable.

You can also disassemble both sides and remove the screen, however the cab would not decrease in length.

You can use a 1080P TV that would fit in the cab, as genuine full HD screens from Taitotech are still expensive.

Re: Banpresto pcbs

You should read the proper Mame driver (seta2.cpp and a few others), you would find more info in comments and not only roms definitions or technical data.
